I'm running an M17x with Windows 7 Ultimate Release Candidate, 64-bit. I recently upgraded my memory to 2x 4GB Corsair 1066 DDR3, and after I installed it I remember checking it in Windows System and seeing 8GB. A few days later, Windows is reporting 4GB, so is the BIOS. I tried removing the memory sticks and swapping them, but that didn't change anything. Has anyone heard of this problem or have any ideas on what I can check?

    Thanks!

run 1 stick at a time and test the 2 out

Might just have a stick went bad, in which case RMA the set (corsair is great with RMAs)

As scook9 said, one of the two sticks has most likely gone bad.

That's what it was, I started it with one stick with no problems, started it with the other stick and couldn't boot up. Called it in, got an RMA number, shipped it back for a replacement. Thanks for the help!
