My only advice is to call Dell and hopefully they can figure out what is wrong with your system.

Have you got any overclocking going on? If you do set it back to Default values. I have had hanging when overclocked too high.

Its stable if it doesnt uh... crash/hang/freeze your computer.. :)

Just reset everything to stock settings (Auto) in the Bios and see if this behavior continues. If it does, lower your clocks!

to be honest you just have to tweak the settings in small increments and test on each increase. Once you hit a crash, then you know you've gone too far. What worked for one person may not work for another, so its hard to advise on what settings to use

Unfortunately you did go for the slower CPU with 3MB of l2 cache so... It won't be fast!

Try to set your FSB and Memory speed the same. IF you're using 1066mhz memory, this might be limiting you from overclocking.

yeah i think i'am using 1066mz... i checked the bios and they were the same for both the FSB and the memory speed... Which means i cant overclock it any futher?

Try to unlink and clock the FSB for the CPU higher but... I dont know. Sounds like either your CPU or Memory (or both) doesnt like the OC settings you're using.

    Try 1150/1150 or something?

If you are using windows 7 use the 187.66 driver i uploaded in the m17x win7 forum.

Alternatively you can find a copy of the driver at www.laptopvideo2go.com

I was having severe drops in performance will all other drivers when using win 7
