How can I tell my M17x to keep the WiFi settings when I restart. Most of the time I want WiFi disabled. I press the softkey to disable it and all is fine - until I restart from Sleep or a Reboot. Then the wireless is switched on.

Strangely, if I then use the softkey the OSD tells me that I've just switched wireless on! I have to press it twice to get it to go off.

You could just disable the wireless Nic in device manager, you could go to PM setting and disable it that way.. I leave mine enabled but in the network settings moved the wired nic priority above the wireless one so if it is hard wired in, it doesnt bother connecting to the wireless...

By default vista and win 7 give the wireless connection higher prioriy.

Are you guys sure the wireless is actually on, or is the LED just reporting as being on, and the wireless is actually off? The OSD software seems extremely buggy, so maybe you're just getting false LED readings?

    Hi guys

Answer is Windows Mobility Centre (type into Start). You can enable/disable wireless there, but if enabled, you still have to toggle the Wireless button in the top-right of the keyboard to be off/on.

    Best regards
