Hi, I am currently using an m17x that I have been loving ever since i got it last year. However, after a plane trip recently, my keyboard has been malfunctioning. At first only my 1 key was not working, it couldn't be pressed or it typed it infinitely. Now though, none of my number keys work along with the hanja key, tab, caps, backspace, delete, and p. Sometimes hanja goes forever and sometimes tab goes forever, but i cannot press these keys anymore. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

p.s. I had to type this with ctrl c/v

    1. Remove system from AC Power.
    2. Remove the battery.
    3. Depress and hold the Power Button for a 10 count.
    4. Put the battery back into the system.
    5. Plug in the AC Adapter.
    6. Power up.

touch buttons still work, it seems that my 1 key is the only thing that malfunctions unless i hit the middle button of my mouse (scroll wheel). I will try the driver now.

Edit: sry but which driver is the one I want?

Keyboard driver is part of the OS - its not something which will change anything. If the 1 key is intermittent, contact Support and they will troubleshoot and disaptch out a replacement keyboard. This is of course provided you tried the process I outlined in post#2 at least once.

Can also try firmly (not hard) depress and hold/wiggle the #1 key. Be sure its seated properly.

Also, if you want to jumpstart the troubleshooting process, download the AW/Dell 32bit Diagnostics and install it to a USB Flash Drive. Once done, boot up and you'll have access to the full suite of diag tools. There is one specifically for the keyboard.
