Hi there...
I really need help please ......
i'am facing with alot of problem.. I hope u all can fix it..
1st of all ... I installed a few drivers at dell's webside to my M17x.. Then i wanted to disable the 9400 so that i can install games and play.. (which is what this laptop is for) .... i read from a threat said to click Fn+F7 so i went and do as he said and i think i'am in Hybrid mode now... I'am starting to feel the lag in my CPU as i open my Windows Task Manager and finding the CPU Usage gone to 80 - 100 %(it stays there)
So i went to Moo's guide for OC'ing the CPU and i went though everything... then i went and click F2 when it restarts and go advanced and add the FSB by 10...
And NOW... i Cant even go to windows... i'am having problem when i on the M17x... the caps lock just keeps on blinking.. There are light from the keyboard and others.. but the screen shows nothing.. I'am stuck when i on my M17x...

hi there... i finally can see the start up Bios screen and the rest... but because i'am using on battery... i clicked f1 to resume...then it came in a black screen again... i duno what is happening... please help.. i on my battery and its still the same
-
Do you have 2 hard drives in your machine ? Were you running a Raid 0 or Raid 1 config ?....
-
i only have 1 drives.. Edit: when i open my M17x.. there is HDD0 and HDD1 but before i had this problem.. i only had C drive..
-
Well if its running in Raid then it makes both drives act like 1 drive as they work in tandem in Raid..
-
erm... what does that going to help me? i'am still stuck with black screen ... i can see the alien head at the starting.. then everything turns blackout... Can anyone help me?
-
Ermmm..... because if your bios is not setup to run raid then its going to go to a blank screen because it cannot find the bootsector ....
Good luck ............... -
erm... I'am not sure what u're saying.. but do u know any ways to fix it??
-
Sounds like you need to enable RAID in the BIOS.
Also, if overclocking fails, it usually suffices to simply pull the laptop battery, in in most cases, there is no need to pull the CMOS battery. -
You need to go into the bios and try and set up the harddrives to run in either RAID0 or RAID1 .. See if that fixes it ...
Beyond me giving you these suggestions you need to call Dell because clearly you dont understand and i cant explain it anymore clearly then i am.... -
i already pull the laptop battery and click the power button for 20 sec... i even pull the round clock thingy that witcher said... i'll try to enable RAID in the BIOS now
EDIT: i went to bios and set the SATA operation to RAID and i set the RAID Port 0 and Port 3 Enabled... but i still facing the black screen problem..
EDit 2: i tryed to set bios enabled and disabled for 3 times and finally it works .. I can go to windows now.. but I'am using Safe mode... It will be scary to have that black screen again -
You cannot receive private messages for some reason MaoMau so i could not reply to your PM.. You may have them turned off..
-
sorry about that... i forget to enable it back..
-
Lol its still disabled.... Just tried again....
-
weird... nevermind i think got bug now...
... i wanted to know how to change the 9400 graphic card to nvidia gtx 260 SLI.... And i'am having a little shutter.. like spike... IS overclocking save? because of overclocking it cause the screen to blackout...
-
To disable the 9400m, under the graphics options in the bios set the 2 things to disabled/disabled..
As for overclocking safe.. Yes it is but that does not mean you wont run into a problem again.. But even if you do then you know how to fix it yourself..

ok.. thank you very much.. appreciate your time.. + rep =)
