Hi guys. Just noticed something weird about my '' key. In word and firefox when i want to type something with quotes, i have to type it twice before it appears. Then, two appear when i only want one! It's a bit strange, only noticed it this week, i think it might be related to character mapping go the bios or something. I've applied recent updates of office 2007 sp2 but that doesn't explain why it happens in firefox. I might reflash my bios to a02 and see what happens. Any other suggestions? I'm stumped but there could be a simple solution i haven't considered!

check your keyboard setting within win7: correction it is actually listed under "language bar" and is the OS setting for the language your keyboard is using, it will cause your keys to map differently

Nope, A BIOS re-flash didn't work, neither did the keyboard language settings. It seems that the key containing the " and ' next to the enter key on the M17x works, but only registers the second hit on the key, then enters two of the characters rather than one! dammit. I need a working keyboard!

Edit: I have also found out that the ~ key in the top left does the same thing :(

Ran diagnostics, the keys were recognised on first hit, so it seems that the problem is related to something in windows.
    Any one got any suggestions?
