This is a subject of debate. I believe the FX chip is on the motherboard. Some believe its part of the keyboard. There is no information on the net confirming this either way which I have been able to locate. Gabe checked over his DCSE docs on the M17x and was not able to confirm either.

ok well i have two systems one the fx board i thinkis shot tech support said send it back...lol...i dont care eitherway...but my other system is working totally fine...i think the motherboard in the system that has the fx not working is a better board less issues...better clock speeds...performance...but the fx is messed up bad
so i guess i could swap the keyboard and touch pannel at the top and find out
