So I haven't seen this anywhere and have become quite curious, what exactly does the BIOS here allow you to do as far as overclocking is concerned? I'll assume more than just adjusting the multiplier like I can in my Whitebook (m17 essentially).
I have heard that it offers a considerable degree of freedom but have not seen any solid evidence on this yet. If someone could take some pictures of the BIOS screens and post or at least list the settings you can change it would be appreciated. I have grown used to Asus Desktop motherboards with the holy grail of BIOS settings, and know not to expect that much, but curiosity is getting the best of me on this.
Thanks to those who I know will respond![]()

with a qx9300 you can change fsb\memory freq, and cpu multiplier, any other NON extreme processor you can only mess with the fsb going buy what others have said as i just have the qx9300
-
Yep all i can adjust in mine with the q9000 is the FSB and the mem timings. Everything else is locked.

no voltages?
-
nope, the bios itself would have to be modded to up or lower voltages, cpugenie may or may not work never tried.
Edit: i do believe some of us are hoping AW will release a new bios with some more things unlocked. -
Nope. All grayed out. :-(

I see. Still sounds groundbreaking for a laptop bios.

Yea I was surprised to get the ability to unlink the FSB and MEM timings.. I was expecting for all of that to be locked.. So I am happy... A little bit is better than nothing at all.

very much indeed
