    Has anyone who ordered the blu ray drive opened theie laptop up yet? Does anyone know which drive (model number not dells but the oem manufaturer info) of the drive itself. I didn't order one with it and want to track one down. Any info appreciated!

    wow, nobody knows? Can someone who ordered a blu ray drive on the new m17x look at the device settings in the control panel and type the information in here please!! The stock non-blu ray drive is an HL...

    Hey fast.. this is what I have so far. Been having some problems with my lappy since I got it this evening.

    It says... HL-DT-ST DVDRWBD CA10N SCSI CDROM DEVICE

    Not sure if this is the info you were looking for. Hope this helps somehow.

    You are very welcome! I am happy to hear that you are not having issues. I am not having big issues, its just the LCD light bleed issue and the touch buttons not responding. That is basically it. Everything else is great so far! Good luck trying to find a drive that fits. :)

    I am going to wait for some info on the blu ray burner...I just noticed dell is listing it as an upgrade so why go half way! I am sure there will be some people over the next few month that tear theres apart and will have some info on that drive. I also find that the touch buttons are not very responsive...they work but, not as well as a hard button. Thanks again for the help!
