I have an M17x on Windows 7, I have only had it since the beginning of December, And recently received this error, And I cannot fix it, Nor have I any idea how. Here is a screen grab. Please, Someone help me, I cannot access my Command Centre, I get an error pop up when I attempt to access it to change the colour of my keyboard. I can't even turn off the keyboard lights.

Shut down your laptop, unplug it from the wall, take out the battery so nothing is powering the laptop and then hold the power button for 10 seconds. Turn the laptop back on and try again, if it doesn't work then try reinstalling the command center, if that doesn't work do a system restore to sometime before the problem happened.

I turned it off, Nothing happened differently, I don't know where to re-install it from. All this happened when I installed my Alienware TacX mouse, Since then I haven't been able to access my command centre.

So uninstall the one I have now, Then Install the middle file? Because I tried it without uninstalling it, And nothing happened, Still failed. I will try to uninstall it, Then install the downloaded one. If it helps, Here is a message that popped up..

Same thing happened to me on my m15x! It was mostly fine ( couldnt change touch pad settings without it crashing but everything else was good) and then I get the free mouse install the software and then it wouldnt let me get to the command center or anything. So I was gonna reformat so I used the windows 7 disk thinkin I would have it how it came but it didnt, just gave me a windows 7 install and no alienware stuff D: I made a thread asking for help how to reformat with factory settings. I can get to the command center now though havent installed the mouse thing yet.

Hi, I'm experiencing a similar problem with my M17x's lights but uninstalling the command center didn't fix it. I am narrowing down the issue with my AlienFX board, do you think you can check your local drive/program files/alienware/command center/alienwarealienfxtester and tell me if your board is detected by that program?

If yours does and mine doesn't, I believe the issue I have is with hardware and I need to ship it into Dell.

Yes exactly, when you launch the tester what does it say under the Board Information & do you have the option to upgrade the firmware?

For me I cannot get it my lights to work and it says "no board detected" in my case. Current version is just blank
