After 2 days, I think (at least) 1 of the fans went broke. During gameplay after 10 minutes or so, at least one of the fans starts to rumble (like it's hitting something internally) :( . First time, the alien shutdown itself (due to overheat) before I coudl shut if off. Only thing is, I don't know which one. I use beta drivers from dell website and notice that turning on the physx on the GPU seems to 'speed up' the issue.

I tried to check temperatures with HWMonitor, but not conclusive (like 260's at 60 C, internal one wass higher at 68 C)

Does anyone know whether there is a way to test each fan separately, like letting it run at full speed for a while or so?

Any other people that experienced the same issue?

fyi, 2 x 260 SLI, rumbling is difficult to detect where it comes from (left middle right). Tried to play a game on integrated gpu. At idle, there seems to be a very soft 'rrr' sound all the time. Normal?

Next step, what is the best way to get dell/alienware support (I'm in Belgium)? I already have not too good experience with sales rep during order process.

    Any suggestions much appreciated.

Just call your Dell Support number (for the number, look on the Belgium support.dell.com site) and give them your Service Tag. Its a new system, might as well have them dispatch a tech to resolve it. Or, look in the back of the owner's manual - there are support numbers listed there as well.
