That's 3 more games than me, lol...but I have more coming. I'll see if the consistency is there from game to game.

No Raid here ..
I also tried Legacy ACHI and Native AHCI even though i know it would not make a difference.. -
Its some sort of power issue ...
I ran the machine in power saver mode on Dons suggestion and sure enough totally perfect even with all 4 cores running .. Power saver mode takes the CPU down to 50%.. So i went into the power saver profile and ramped up the CPU to 100% and whamo! stutter was back...
If i were to guess it has to be either the motherboard or power supply... Something is just not getting enough power and throttling the machine or choking it.... -
I'm testing that demo now Quad. Trying different NV SLI Profile settings and will edit this post shortly.
-
Thanks man but since i seem to be having problems in these few games i think its a hardware issue... im still interested in your findings though and thanks for trying to help...
-
When you have a moment, post your in-game display settings for me. Want to use the same settings. BTW, my power supply is a Delta.
-
I never even touched the display settings since i have been trying to get the game to work.. i just checked them and they were all at medium which seems to be default except textures at high, shadows 1024 and Trilinear filtering .. Anisotropic seems to be set at 4x but greyed out...
Thanks for the info on the power supply..
I am still curious how many people that have issues have a Flextronics PSU .. I know some of the initial batch of bad PSUs were Flextronics when people had reported them dying.. This machine is close to a launch machine so the new Flextronics ones might be fine but maybe the launch batch were junk... -
Ok. So I just ran through the first demo mission. SLI Indicator enabled and showed SLI was active. After exiting game grabbed a snapshot of HWMonitor which confirms both cards were active. No issues to speak of. Game has some nice graphics - those team movement games I dont really play often, but the game play was smooth. No stuttering.
As mentioned previously, the failed 195.55 driver included many SLI Profile updates/additions for new games as well as old. The one included for the demo of Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising is by default set to use a Single GPU. I tried associating the profile for the previous Op Flashpoint and it defaulted to AFR2. I then used the Left 4 Dead 2 profile (LOL) and associated it with OFDR Demo and all was fine. I was actually surprised it worked.
Used driver 186.82 as always since I seem to have zero issues with it.
If you want to give it a try Quad, here is the profile. Run the windows batch file to update it. This will only add/update the OFDR profiles. All other profiles have been removed. If you have nHancer installed I'm not sure what my Profile Update will do - may conflict, may not. Its for use with the NV Control Panel only. I don't use nHancer so I have no idea.
For in-game settings, I left everything default and set it to 1920x1200 60hz. FWIW, my power profile is set to High Performance - CPU Min/Max is set to 100% while on AC via the Vista Power Profiles Control Panel.Attached Files:

Thanks man .. Ill give it a shot but i am certain im having power issues sadly and no amount of drivers are going to fix it
... Im going to undervolt my CPU just for giggles to see if i can fix it that way temporarily till i call Dell...

Ok so i swapped cards in my machine and i think i found the culprit for whats going on in certain peoples machines...
Im running the secondary card in the primary slot... Now since both cards are running the same bios and do not run off the master slave like ATI cards then both cards should perform identical but they clearly dont... this could be why people have stuttering and others dont... Faulty GPUs ... be it primary or secondary..
Look at the GPU clocks and my frame rate ... Something is clearly busted with the secondary card.... Its running at like 3 fps up to 11 fps and then back down...
I also disabled powermizer to force 3dclocks and while EVGA precision is saying its running at full speed the frame rate remains super low...
I still have some more testing to do like running this slow card in the secondary slot by itself and see if it gives the same result. Might be the motherboard...
-
i also had issues with this game with quite bad fps, i assumed it was driver related o_0
-
Well with the primary card it runs at a solid 45fps but using the secondary card i get 3 fps
...
Its a hardware issue as it carried over into other games and not just this one... -
mm intersting, i already had to get my 2nd gfx card replaced when i got my machine initially, makes me suspect something is up with my comp, i still get bad slow downs on fps, even with borderlands cod mw2 etc.
also i got an issue i just knoticed guys, when i try to play my games on my samsung 40 inch led tv with just HDMI at the native res i get a intense white flickering but if i put it on lcd + hdmi everything is fine =s anyone know why? -
I had blue flickering on my first M17x because the secondary GPU was bad ...
