So I connected my laptop to my pc via HDMI, once its connected, my laptop goes into a black screen, while my TV goes to a dark green screen. I can't do anything from there as my laptop is not accessible. Are there certain procedures to making it work?

    Thanks!

I would power off the computer, hook up the cable then turn in on. I maybe the resolution that it is trying to display on your tv is not the proper resolution.

Ive done that. Also I've tried 2 different resolutions, and same thing happens with both. My TV is a widescreen -- 32". I have the laptop resolution set to 1920x 1200

Well now it shows a blue screen. I'm using windows 7. It looks like my wallpaper, but its all messed up looking. I've tried messing around with the settings as well, but no luck =/

I had this, but im ati, i actually fixed it using modded drivers and installing sp2, but this was vista, the errors get frustrating.

What i would do is, screens tend to like to clone after being plugged in, try and clone the exact resolution on both screens, make sure the refresh rates all good.

Can I use SLI? Or does SLI have to be disabled?

I think sli needs to be disabled.

This was discussed in another thread I believe and it is a driver issue.

for cloning SLI wont work, for extended SLI should work fine

I have my M17x going to a Denon Receiver right now going out to a Sony 52"

Worked great so far (and getting sound properly through the receiver :) )

I have mine set up where my HDTV is my monitor and my laptop display is off. It works like a champ with no problems at all, and I run in SLI with the setup that Desiree described. I can tell when I am in stealth mode, because the big screen doesn't show my desktop.
