This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    They use Realtek HDMI audio chip built onto the cards as a native soundcard; so effectively the ATI cards are a video and sound card.
    One of the reasons I ideally wanted to stick with my ATI powered machine.

    Does anyone know for sure what version of HDMI does the M17x have? 1.2 or 1.3?

    In the comprehensive specs manual it says 1.2 dude....read the thread this is on post 1
