Is it possible to upgrade the LCD with the LED version?

I purchased the M17x a few months ago (Core2 processor and NVIDIA GTX280M SLI).

Now I see Dell has two lines of the M17x:

i5/i7/ATI4870 with an added panel option 1920x1200 RGB LED

Will this LCD even fit in my rev 1 model?
Is it possible to order it from Dell some kind of way?
