This is what I've found in my search for a good manual for this machine.
I found it on the Dell site, go figure, as seen in the link below , but the site was actually set up as an alienware site and moved to the dell servers.

This page will link you to the bevy of information that is mostly hard to get to. I know that the info works for me as I have a R1 board as far as I can tell.

I do not know if the info applies to the iXXX series of processor boards offered in the m17x's but this may be a good starting place.

What I did was setup a folder on my machine called 'machinespecificdrivers' . In that folder I keep all the recent drivers and any info about the specific machine. I saved these manuals to that folder for future reference. I also store these files on a machine specific thumb drive and throw that in my laptop case just in case I need to refer to them or install drivers etc. then I have it on hand.

I normally use MEO encryption when ever I put anything loose in my laptop case for obvious reasons.

    (sorry for the rant)

you did a very poor search I am afraid: the thread that already exists was the second item in the google search results when I searched for M17x just a moment ago.

Thanks for posting this. Each owners lounge thread (and the M17x Gen Info thread) have links to the Dell documentation.
