Thought I should make a thread of a collection of pictures/video of the M17x.

Seeing how shipments are already being received, its a bit of an exciting time..Though its also a hassle going through every thread discussing the new laptop, trying to find media users have posted.

So I hoped this thread would prove useful :)

(But I advice you use threads such as the Owners Lounge to discuss performance/bugs/satisfactory/unsatisfactory qualities)

To be honest, it isn't as huge as I thought it would be :)

The weight, however, is quite rediculous!

It fit ok in the 17 inch version of targus city gear backpack.. I dont like the material of the bag though.. seems flimsy.

Vandit did some pics of his fitting in the Pegasus made by swiss gear.. It is a snug fit though..

I am still debating which back I want to get...
Just with there were more options out there.

seems like a very nice notebook!

quite good value too i would say. especially comparing it to alienware notebook of old.

is it alieware exclusive design? (seems so) unlike the rebranded ODM notebook like the old alienware notebook.

does it comes with HDD movement sensor?

Hi, currently I live in Denmark, and want to buy this lappy, but I’m little confused about processor, I have few options:

    1. Intel® Core™ 2 Quad Q9000 (2,0 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB, 6 MB L2-cache) [Omfattet af prisen]
    2. Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T9600 (2,80 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB, 6 MB L2-cache) [træk fra kr 610,00]
    3. Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T9800 (2,93 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB, 6 MB L2-cache) [tilføj kr 3.960,00 eller tilføj kr 160,-/md.-1]
    4. Intel® Core™ 2 Quad Q9100 (2,26 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB, 12 MB L2-cache) [tilføj kr 4.730,00 eller tilføj kr 191,-/md.-1]
    5. Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme QX9300 (2,53 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB, 12 MB L2-cache) [tilføj kr 8.850,00 eller tilføj kr 356,-/md.-1]

Because I want also to encode video, from my point of view 4cores better than 2, so 2,3,5 are outside. I can’t see real difference between 1, and 4 but price is horrible different, about 500euro.

    So what you can recommend?

Also I’m interested in its weight and how long this thing works from batter in energy saving mode.

P.s. is there 9400 integrated video card?

Guess the thread has to be updated with pictures and vid's of the NEW Nebula Red version of the M17x. Maybe for starters you can add this and this one, taken from the "M17x - Nebula Red available for us Europeans" thread (posted by Marvie100, great find btw).

Your thread just wouldn't be complete ;)
