    Hey,

I bought the M17x R1 and before I knew they come out with the R2, DAMN   !!!! So my question is what is the REAL difference between the two??? Can't I just upgrade my R2 to all the specs of the R2(i7 processor, ATI GFX etc)???

    Regards,
    Darthmaniac

You can upgrade however its going to be expensive. If you are still within your 21-day period, return it and re-order. Contact Dell to discuss the return.

Hey Batboy, when I tell Dell I want to return it, do I have to buy a new one or do give the R2 in exchange for the the one I have, its still inthe box ( dell sent me a new one because the old one just stopped working!

However, isn't the QX9300(the prices have fallen!!!!) quite a good processor or is the i7 worth all the trouble ??? Also are not the Gtx 280s good too? I guess I'll just wait for the gtx 300m!

When you arrange for a return Dell will process it as any other retailer would - a credit will be issued. You may be able to work out an option where they can dump the balance of the return on a Dell Gift Card and you can apply it to your cart. You'll need to ask them about this. In any event, do not delay. Once that 21-day period is up, No Dice.
