ok so i have looked around to try and find some help on this but all my routes came up empty. heres the problem; my mom got me a digital camera for my bday and with it a 4gb sdhc card. when i put the card into the SD slot on my laptop and navigate through the folders sometimes it gets real slow (few times crashed explorer) but when ever i try to open an image file windows picture viewer takes around 1 minute to finally say that the image is either not supported or i need to update the image viewer. i have tried the SD card in another computer (win vista business 64) and in a printer that had an SD slot and both worked just fine. so its not the card or the file which is a .jpg.

i went to task manager as i saw someone say they couldnt get HC cards to work and they had to install the drivers and saw that i was running a microsoft driver, i went to dells driver page and got the driver again and ran it, then rebooted (as suggested) only to find it still did not update the driver to the ricoh driver. i tried to do a manual update (dev manager, right click update driver, choose manually, have disk) and it says all the files in the ricoh folder are not compatible with the device.

at this point i am unsure what to do except force it to use a ricoh driver which could cause more problems. anyone have any ideas on what i can try next?
