    Why is the screen brightness on the m17x so dam dim? I got mine turned up to highest level and it is not near as bright as my wife's HP X16 or son's Asus G50V.

    Are the other two models you mention LED backlit? I think the G50 is, but I could be wrong.

    If so, that's probably why.
