I've been suffering a slow boot up problem, also system lockups where the HDD light is almost solid, and I have narrowed it down to the latest nForce SATA driver. I've reverted to the default latest from Windows 7 update and all seems well.

I'm running Win7_x64 with a single 320GB HDD, so no RAID. The diagnostics disk has found no errors on either the controller or the hard drive itself (ran a 3 pass test).

    Has anyone else encountered this?

It's brought back nightmares from years ago with nForce 2 IDE drivers being a complete pile of crap. I avoided them until now.
