Everytime when I disconnect the power source, it says switching to low powered mode, and plug adapter in to get performance better.

Is there a way to unplug the power adapter and still keep your performance?

I believe Alienware knows about this issue and is currently working on a BIOS fix.

It does this to save power. You can:

    1. Disable the 9400M via the BIOS and you wont receive this message

    2. Edit your Power Profile settings via Command Center's Fusion module or if you have the fusion service disabled you can edit it via the OS's power settings (that little powerplug/battery icon next to the clock).

    Hi Judas543,
Although you may be able to adjust the spower options and disable the 9400, it will still downclock due to insufficient power. From what I understand, the only way to get max performance is by having it plugged in.

    Thanks,
    Gabe
