I should be receiving my new Alienware M17x anytime now and I would like to do a clean install of Windows 7 to remove all of the Bloatware. I have seen write ups for Vista and XP but I can't seem to find any for 7. Also, are there any other tips or tricks that I should be doing while I am at it, like some kind of backup disk, partitioning the HDD, or anything else? I am not computer savvy so the more details the better, I really have no idea what to do. Please help me out and thanks in advance if you do.

I thought Dell installed a lot of bloatware on their products... Are they leaving Alienware alone?

^You don't get any bloatware when you do a clean install on any kind of brand computer.

I haven't received much bloatware on my M17x (I mean there's McAfee, but really that's all opinion based).

Also, be very careful using Black Viper's guides. They're good, but you can screw up your system very well.

Before Dell even owned Alienware, AW used to go out of their way to point out that they didnt put on bloatware to their systems because they knew gamers/high end users didnt want that. I dont think Dell changed that policy.

Aw has no programs installed when you get it.
