I was wondering that too after I reloaded Win 7. I don't have the original red alien wallpaper either.

Before I did the upgrade to Windows7 I went in and copied all the wallpapers and the one user picture icon I could find to a thumb drive. I could not find the wallpapers etc on the resource disk sent with the M17x. I haven't found an online resource for the 9 wallpapers originally sent with the system. Also I thought all the user picture options would be included with the system but they were not. I haven't search here for that stuff yet.

To change your startup picture you have to do so within root system32/OOBE folder. I do not have my laptop in front of me so I am unable to give you the exact location after that. I know that the file is in that folder and if I recall correctly is named "Backgrounddefault". If your savvy you should be able to figure it out by my rough description. If not, I'll post instructions when I get home. I am pretty sure also that the file cannot be over a certain size...the exact I do not know.

That's great. Thank you so much. Does anyone have the big red Alien head wallpaper also for the windows desktop? Or, if not that one, one of the other alien head wallpapers that came with the system?
