I have the first model with 2 adapters 280, often use the computer to make music and am a little tired of the problem ...
I would call Dell to complain, you can request a replacement with the new model?

Depends. How long have you had the system? You should first call them and try and get the 280's replace by ATI 4870's if you can. Some people have experienced problems with the nvidia cards. Also did you update your BIOS from A02 to A03? While this doesn't totally solve the latency issues, it greatly reduces them.

    hello dr.
    thanks for the reply,
my system is september 2009, I have always had the problem with the audio, and I have not completely resolved with BIOS A03 (shuttering annoying and still present)
I have grave doubts that the problem is the video cards, the problem is the nvidia chipset.
    is not possible ..

    andy,

Feel free to post in the DPC Latency thread.

On the subject of replacements/exchanges/refunds you will have to contact Dell to discuss this. Dell handles this on a case by case basis. Discuss the issues you are having with the tech support rep. Be polite and clearly state what the issues are and what you expect (a replacement or whatever). Understand that you do need to work with the rep and allow them to troubleshoot and respond to your complaints.

I am closing this thread as we have a thread in place for DPC Latency on the M17x R1. http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=434691

    Thanks.
