2 days ago I formatted my m17x laptop using a bootable format disk and also tried to create partitions.
It might be possible that i formatted even the hidden partions of the laptop...

    After this I installed vista.
But still my laptop has only 1 partition and it has got totally messed up as now :-
    1. Its keyboard lights are not working.
    2. Its Touchpad is not working.
    3. Its function keys(combination keys for special actions) like Fn + F8, etc are not working.

I installed every driver but still these problems persist.
What can I do to get rid of these problems???

Can anyone please help me out???

    Thanx in advance...
    :( :( :(

You may want to re-install the touch pad drivers, possibly with drivers from the manufacturer of the touchpad and not from alienware. I believe you will have to install software from alienware to get your lights going.

go to myhive in alienware http://support.alienware.com/Support_Pages/Support_Area.aspx
There like 2 files you have to install before installing Command Center has to be fully uninstalled. The best idea is call alienware and have them work with you step by step.
