Ok I been playing around with the GPUs.
    Master runs around 70c
Slave Runs around 103c to 106c.
Cryis, Lord of the Rings. Temps above.

Stuff I use to tech the temps Furmark
Two GpuZ at the same time.

Both GPU do the Same high end temp. I think the Keyboard blocking airflow. Vents are Clean. I clean Under the keyboard no dust. Both GPU Fans are clean and they both work.

Should I be worried. I think the 9800gt Handle up to 110c before crashing.

    1. The first m17x is m17x, not M17x. ;)
    2. You should still be worried about those temps. It won't last long. I'd reapply thermal paste.

That why I put Frist Gen. So people Know which one it is. Yes I am worried about the temps. The last Geforce drivers. shut the games down at 110c. Alienware drivers are a hair better but. Still HOT.

I am also thinking it Airflow Problem as well Thermal Grease.

Yes but you should say "first gen m17x" because it really is m17x, not M17x ;)

I would change the thermal grease, either that or you have got a definite airflow problem.

Not worried about the name. But I will be ordering two Hinksinks Fan for my system and replace the 9800gt with Dual 8600 untel then.

I also have tweaked the gpu so they run at 92c Master, Slave 100c.

Those temps are insane. I've never even pushed my desktop 8800 GTS that far and I've run it to the ground before...

I would not push my gpu to this temp. But it is doing it self. I like fast computers but I rather have it done by me. I found this playing Lotro Mines of moria and random shut down. Change to Alienware drivers and the temps stayed close to the same. I started researching the temps.
