Im going to be getting the m17x soon, they can support 2 hdd in the laptop as far as i know. So if i was to order it with a single drive config with just 1 hdd, then when i recieved it, put another one of my own hdd in it and it will just register as a second hdd am i right? so it will be the same as it was but just with an extra hdd for me to store data on?

    Thanks

Yes, it will register as a second drive in Windows. Remember to format and partition before using. If you choose to go RAID, you'll need to re-format and setup both.
