my hard drives click when they are idle.. I'm assuming its the hard drives because it only does it when the computer is idle and it clicks once in the front left area then a second later in the back right area. does anyone else's do this?

Someone else had this issue with the 500gig drives but i cant remember off hand what it is they did . Curious though are you running Raid0 ?. That might be one of the issues causing it if so .

Wont say its normal but since both drives are doing it then it could be Raid related . i have not seen anyone talking about the 320 drives doing it but then again i dont think many have the 320s in there machine.

Have to wait till someone responds with a fix or software they installed etc to fix it . Could be the intel matrix storage manager software but honestly i dont know so best to wait .

Hmm I dunno. I'll see if I can find a work around. Its more of an annoyance than a performance issue. I've done 3 scans to look for bad sectors or anything. If it comes down to it, I'll call AW and get 2 new hard drives and see if they do it (hopefully it won't come to that).

Like I said before it ONLY does it when the PC is idle (have it pulled in most of the time so it just sits there without hybernating etc.), surfing the net (firefox), etc.

If I can find a fix, I'll post it up for everyone.
