I doubt he would be getting 35FPS average in stealth mode on ultra high settings. 35 sounds right for the single 280, 55 for SLI. My guess is your second card is still not functioning, which doesn't mean it's the card, it could be a cable or setting or something else simple.

A good way to check if your second card is being utilised is to run HWMonitor or some other temperature checker. Obviously, if your second 280's temp stays low then it's not being used.

after runs 1st gtz was max 65 and 2nd was 69, and 9400 was 70

Perhaps there's a fault with the SLi cable then, somewhere. Are you sure SLi is enabled? (although your second card wouldn't heat up if it wasn't) Try forcing alternate frame rendering (AFR).

well i just did a single gpu on the nvida settings and i got 36.44 fps, more than with AFR on. but both cards are 49 and 53! any other ideas?

might try uninstalling drivers and load ones frm dells page. see when using driver swear to uninstall nvida, which do i tick to install.. nvida physx , display and chipset or just display? thnx again

Either the cooling of the M17x really is that good, or your cards aren't being fully utilised. Make sure performance on them is maxed out with your whole computer in high performance-not sure how to do that with nVidia for obvious reasons (M17 user lol)

I recommend you download nHancer from this website and then use the Crysis Profile in it to ensure SLI is enabled.

To see if SLI is working, go to the SLI Guide in my signature. It will also show you step-by-step how to get it enabled.

Did you disable vert. sync. for that specific profile? Should disable for all games really unless one has issues with it disabled. IMO.
