I agree they already had amazing laptops, even a small step up would be an enormous change (IE new GPU's!)... I can't wait to see, I really hope it is a 17"...

    Hi,
I think we share the same train of thought Phinagle. I often times always prepare myself by first thinking of the worst. A pleasant surprise is always welcome, but we're both realists here. The fact of the matter is that it cant possibly be worse than what we've already seen......or can it? I've tested far to many alienwares to think anything remotely positive about future models. Every once in a while, there is a pleasant surprise such as the m17x. However, those are far and few between. Alienware and I have had numerous conversations about my dissappoints and the lack of quality control.....or even quality for that matter. Anyone can throw the most recent hardware in an attractive package. The key is to have enough quality control to make sure it all works right and has enough endurance to stand up to the gaming community. I've been doing service work for Dell for many years, and it quite possible that I am more accustomed to quality and gold standard. Not many companys can deliver as solid a PC as Dell, and I sure hope that rubs off in this newly formed aquisition.

I really do hope for everyone's sake, and mine as well, that the great and almighty allpowerful PC is everything we expect it to be......or hope it will be.

    Man o man,

Sorry to hear about your bad luck GabeZ,

My M9750 is rock solid and so is my M17. I have seen no quality problems with either of my rigs. In fact, both of them have been the most durable and well built laptops i have ever owned.

I don't know if I just got lucky, but my experience with Alienware in terms of quality and customer support has been nothing short of stellar.
