    M17x startup screen freeze

    Today my m17x is frozen at the first startup screen, with the big alienhead. it can power off normally, but restarting it doesnt help at all. what should i do?

    I have been having same problem, starting it on battery and then the warning beep and pressing f1 continue or f2 setup seems to work better.

    have had over clock failour message so try to reset cpu if you have over clocked it.

    also changing the boot from minimal or quick to other setting helped me.

    computer seems to have returned to normal now but i was worried for a few days.

    if you press esc when the alien head loads it will give you some more details although the press f2 to go to setup still doesnt work.
