    Hi.

I was having a look at what Alienware offered with the 17x, but then I also found ibuypower's solution which is the Battalion 101 X8100.

iBUYPOWER Computer :: Battalion 101 X8100 Gaming Notebook

I was wondering what people felt between the two.

Potential things I liked about Ibuypower:
    1) Larger HD selection. I can choose which brand.
    2) I can also add a secondary data HD

I couldn't find reviews on the graphics card they have in SLI. I wonder if Ati 5870 CF would do better?

Its also a little bit cheaper in price. I've been out of the tech world for a long time so its hard for me to keep up!

I was looking to spend around $3,000 but am in no major rush. I'd be willing to wait up to the end of this year if necessary.

I googled "Clevo X8100" to get some results, thank you.

The ibuypower has a constant 5% off coupon too, but what isn't overpriced? =P

What place do you think has the lowest $ clevo system for me to look at?

The m17x has two hard drive bays. If you don't want raid, just config with one drive and install the second one yourself.

I'm pretty confident 5870 xfire will out perform 285sli in almost all games. You also get directx 11 support with the ati setup.

Yes, I think I'll just go with the m17x haha. I am anxiously awaiting the 5870 CF. The only downfall of waiting is I'll need to get it shipped to Korea somehow, since that is where I will be pretty soon. Guess I could have my brother do it! Have him make sure everything is OK first before he sends it over seas to me. Maybe I'll just wait until the holidays, I'm sure some deals will roll out.
