    Hey,

I am looking for a solution to plug a 30inch Dell screen on a M17x. There is no DVI but I assume the M17x can display Dual link DVI resolution (G92 has no problem and even far weaker cards can do this).
However what's the best, HDMI to DVI dual link or Display port to DVI dual link.

I tried with HDMI but I couldn't reach 2560x1200 only 1200xsomething. It was a cheap DVI-HDMI. Is there any solution on the market?
If anyone has a clue on this, I ll be glad to hear :)

this has yet to be confirmed, but I believe the HDMI port is limited to single link resolutions (hardware limited) as it is version 1.2 NOT 1.3(a)

The display port may support it but an expensive adapter will be needed for display -> DVI since they use different video protocols

As for the G92, yes on desktops it supports the resolution. But on laptop it is at least driver limited, if not hardware limited to 2048x1536

Hope this helps, sorry for the bad news

Thanks for the info! +rep :)

I tried to plugg a DVD-D dual link with HDMI and it didn't work. I guess it's impossible... Tha'ts too bad because M17x should be able to handle 2 years old game pretty well with 2560x1200 res...
