M17x: Proper Driver Update Sequence??

Greetings:

I've been reading through posts looking for similar issues. Since the M17x comes preloaded with Nvidia chipset/gpu drivers bundled together, what is the proper sequence for updating these?

This posts references a sequence of steps that I'm wondering if everyone else is using. I've tried this and ran into problems later and have since had to do a factory re-image.

Before doing this again, I wanted to confirm with you guys as I don't want to screw it up again. I was pretty much following that guide the second time but using the latest drivers Batboy posted.

Instead of the 186.81, use the 186.82.

As for sequence, I use roughly the same sequence Dell suggests for all of its laptops. Might be different from the M17x but I have not found any actual offical Dell/AW order.

My driver list on my blog is up to date in the order I use (based on Dell's suggested order). The order in which Dell suggests is:
