So I have heard alot of things saying that its possible for the Alienware M17x-R2 keyboard to scratch the glass screen. So I found a site that sells screen protector cloths and it specifically says it can be used with Alienware Laptops. I am trying to do a custom cloth, but dont know what measurements I need so I need someone to help me out and tell me what I need, Here is a link to the site. Here is the one saying its made for alienware Laptop Screen Protector : ShaggyMac, Laptop Screen Protector & Keyboard Cover, Laptop Cleaner & Accessories and here is the one where you can custom make a screen cloth protector. I need to know what measurements I need. 17-19 Custom Shop Laptop Screen Protector [SPCustom17] - $17.95 : ShaggyMac, Laptop Screen Protector & Keyboard Cover, Laptop Cleaner & Accessories I need the Width and Depth measurements. And does the Depth affect how "Thick" the cloth is?

Here is the actually measurements of the laptop according to alienware site for the M17x-R2.
Dimensions: (W)16.1" (D)12.6" (H)2.1" -
In this case, depth refers to the distance from the inner edge of the front of the laptop (while open) to the inner edge of the hinge. The thickness of the cloth is fixed at 0.6mm.
You'd have to get someone else to measure the inside area of the m17x.... someone borrowed all my measuring tapes...
A screen protector cloth is a good idea, though. My m17x (r1) travels from home to work with me and had devoloped a few scratches on the screen from the keyboard. I'm using the foam cloth is shipped with to protect it now and no more scratches have appeared (although I have an annoying scratch on the case from the mouse pad grinding against it). -
Ya, something I paid $4185 for I want to try to keep in mint condition as long as possible LOL. Anyone have the measurements? I still need those.
