Hi guys, sorry to bother you all again! but ive been having a little problem with my HDMI on my samsung 40'' series 7 LED tv. When i play a game everything works fine if i have dual screen, e.g i can see whats on my laptop screen on my TV, but as ssson as i fn + the screen thing to make it just my TV and turning off the laptop display the games come up but its flashing white over the game, and this is just when gaming. ive tried turning down the resolution and the refresh rate in game (game tested is street fighter 4) anyone got a clue? thanks alot in advance!

Hmmmm.... did you try setting it up before gaming so that your TV screen is on but your laptop screen is off?

Try using only the TV as your display before you start the game and see if that works. Fn+F6 doesn't always seem to do what I want it to do.

Also, are you using Nvidia control panel to set up multiple displays or just the Windows display properties? If you can't get the one you are currently using to work, try the other

I would not recommend switching monitors WHILE you are running games. How are you running your setup? Hybrid SLI or just disabled 9400m in bios and just pure SLI?

    Vista or Win7?

I do similar thing to yours with my Plasma via HDMI. All I do in Windows 7 is set a rule when y HDMI device connects it becomes a primary screen and Laptops LCD turns off. You can do the same thing in Nvidia Panel or Windows 7 Display Panel (if you use Win7).

I'm on Vista 64 and have my 9400 enabled currently and I can get games to play only on my TV no problem. Disabling the 9400 can save some issues sometimes but for the most part I leave it on in case I need to switch to it for battery saving

FnF6 usually causes the screen to flash a bunch while it's switching outside of games, so I imagine it would do much worse in-game.

Yeah Imagine your video card is rendering all that 3D data in SLI and output is set to one video card and now you connect to different output which might be linked to a different card so all prepossessing has to get switched to different output/card plus resolution change all on the fly... Last time I did this in Vista it blue screened on me in Crysis

Whilst we are on this subject......I use the M17 and like to watch films from my PC on my HDTV using HDMI cable but Im sick of having it playing on my PC as well whilst playing on my TV.....can I change the settings so the film plays only on my TV?

I will take a look later at the settings but just wondering if anyone could point us in the right direction.
I use Windows media player Classic by choice for watching films from PC to HD TV.

    thanks.
