Hi, I'm attempting to run Windows Virutal PC on the m17x R2 Windows 7 x64 with little or no success. Virutal PC is detecting a problem with the 'Trusted Execution Technology' and 'Virtualisation' settings in the BIOS and suggests disabling these options. However, the current BIOS contains no options to perform this action. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated?

    rch83177,

This is a 'known issue' with the R2. The system supports virtualization but the featureset is disabled in the bios.

I'd recommend PM-ing 'nagshead' - he's the quality assurance rep for Alienware. Let him know you'd really like that feature turned on.

If enough of us ask, it just a matter of adding the menu option in the bios for Dell to make it available to us.
