    igp depend on which processor you get because its in the processor

    The IGP is on the processor socket but the support for switchable graphics is dependent on the chipset and whether the manufacturer allows it. It doesn't look like the M17x will allow for switchable graphics.

    Yeah I'm not sure what's going on with this Arandale switchable graphics lark but even the Envy supposedly isn't going to support it. Why would you not support it though, especially in a thin toasty laptop like the Envy. Someone from HP said there are a whole host of complexities which it introduces so maybe it's just not ready for roll out yet. Future BIOS release is always possible I guess.
