So I just ordered the M17xR2 and noticed it doesnt say what kind, brand, or type of some of the parts being used in it. I got the 1TB Raid 0 (2x 500GB 7,200RPM HDDs) are these SATA II Drives? or SATA 1? What brand are they?

i believe all 7200 rpm drivers in the r-2 are SATA II by default. You can always call alienware (not dell) and verify whats being put in your system.

As for the brand, Dellienware use a variety of hard disk brands. From my personal experience I know that Western Digitals and Seagates are in use but i am sure they use more brands. And yes, they are SATA-II drives.
