    Hi folks,

In the manual it says it supports SATA III drives.

Does this mean I can expect to get the full speed out of a Crucial RealSSD C300 if I go nuts and buy one?

I can't find any details on the Intel chipset that is being used, but perhaps I'm just not looking in the right place.

    Any info/pointers welcome.

    Thanks,

    Jon

    The chipset is PM55.
I doubt it will really support SATA 3 out of the box.

Thanks for the quick response! :)

Looks like I won't go quite that nuts then. Or if I do I need to be aware of it's speed at SATA II.

Yep, SATA 3 is most likely will be released with the next platform - Sandy Bridge, in a year from now , unless Intel goes wild and brings forth another chipset :p

Cool. It looks like the drive is still the quickest around for SATA II, and it's price per Gb isn't that bad in comparison to the other fast drives.

The temptation is great. I already filled my 128GB SSD. :(
