I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this:

My mate has bought an M7700 wityh the Intel P4 670, any chance of upgrading that? It's LGA 775 but i think the motherboard can't take more than 800MHz FSB, can it take say an Allendale Core 2 Duo? Or Pentium D?

This isn't essential at all just wondering.

    Many thanks for any help.

Sorry, the Clevo D900T has a old Intel 915 chipset... which does NOT support ANY dual core CPUs.

You are stuck with Pentium 4 LGA775 CPUs.

Some however, did swap out the D900T motherboard for a D900K motherboard which can support AMD socket 939 CPUs (which can go up to AMD FX-60).

you can use up to the 3.2, 3.4, 3.6 and 3.8Ghz Pentium 4 processors.
The extreme editions do not work in the d900t.
A friend bought a M790 voodoo edition and bought a 3.73extremeedition and it did not work, so the fastest is the 3.8Ghz cpu for it.
You can get the 3.8 for pretty cheap, it just sucks alot of power and gets really hot
