Last night I took out the battery for about an hour.
Now when I put it back in with the charger plugged in, it starts but the screen is just black. Any help?

Keep trying different combinations of having the battery in/out when powering on. Also just try to turn it on with the battery power only. Disable WiFi and mouse pad and dont have anything in the usb slots. Finally, a trick that always helps me is turning on the computer by holding down on the Interent Explorer button instead of the power button to turn it on. Lots of people have had power up problems at some point, and these steps are what get me to turn on my m9750 again :)

Look carefully at the screen, especially the bottom, next time you try to turn it on. If you see a little bit of illumination near the bottom it's likely your primary GPU or a connection problem.

My m9750 did the same thing. When I switched screens between my M9750 and my M17 the screen worked perfectly.

To rule out the LCD inverter, plug you puter into an external monitor and see if your GPU/GPU's can out put that way.

Good luck, and let us know what you find.
