you lasted years ....longer then most but sadly it is the life of laptops all must be forgotten (due to the better ones)

It's the excitement over the release a possible M17x refresh.

 

because that thing is everlasting and it needed a proper funeral.

its also pretty awsome because the 280 sli machine is coming

 

I would like 4870 cf more than 280 sli.

 

if xfire is in there the chance of us getting them would be slimmer

 

If it used the same MXM type it would improve your chances since there would be more reason to stock the GPU. It'd be like how the M15x got the Mobility 3870 after the M17 was introduced.


You'd still have to depend on Flex to remedy any heat issues.

Maybe the m17x is the nvidia machine, and the m17 is the ati machine.

This just means the M9750 is no longer the old one. So which one is?

 

Currently it will have to be the M15x since the M17x is gone now as well.

 

m17 is basically the same thing but with more power.

 

no m17 supports quads and ddr3

its a whole new platform

yes they are both made by Arima but the Whitebook was not an exclusive. They do share chassis but not much else
