    Hi everybody ,

French guy having ordered a Mx 15 on february4th ( the first day available to order for France ), I am a little bit worried about the different announced delivery time and some experiences read on several Internet forums  .
So, as ours orders will come from a separate AW site in Ireland, I think that it can be useful to share our different " european " experiences .

Could I get some feedback from european who ordered the "baby" like , date of order and estimate delivery time, has somebody been already delivered ....

This could help the other to be patient ....

    Best regards from France

Thanks for these first answers .

    To complete my position :

Ordered on Feb. 4th still in phase 4 ( I didn't change the processor for a penryn ) expected delivery day : March 6th

I called this morning and I was told that nobody in Europe might be delivered yet because of a lack of different parts ( Video card, mother board ....) so I guess that everybody might be today still in phase 4 .

Same here, ordered on 5th phase 4 ever since. Called them up today in the afternoon and the guy told me that from what he sees they just got all the parts so he told me to call back on Friday to get a new estimate for shipping date. Hope it will not take more than 7-10 days to build/test/ship but I hope even more that they wont jump over the testing for the sake of the speed :D.

    PS ordered from CH

Hi guys , no news concerning your deliveries ?

From my part , I become more upset day after day .The last call from them was to say ..." don't worry , as a prioritary customer , we insure you to get your order on the fisrt week of April ..." !!!! I missed to fall of my chair : 2 months of delivery time ( I ordered it on Feb. 4th !) and somebody in Ireland who is laughting at me with this proposal ......Grrrrrr !

I am still waiting for a definitive delivery date ....

Please , can you tell me where are you with yours ' ........

    Good luck

    Eeekie ,
I think that the meaning of "priority customer" is " worried and worriing customer" but no priority at all .

Seriously, I sent to them many mails and on the end , menaced them to get the support of the legal department of my company if I didn't get any satisfaction .That why they consider me as a professionnal customer and then , normally priority cust . but I don't believe that ;-)

As look at all the issues that the US customers are having with there m15x
Hopefully they can iron out alot of the stuff before we as European customers get out hands it on.

Nobody here will know that, aside from guess work. Best to e-mail them and wait for a default unhelpful response, or perhaps phone them a few times, and average out the different answers you're given by different people.

You jump to conclusions too fast young padawan. They are not out of adaptors just as they were not out of chassis and LCDs. I'm not native english speaker but I always thought that to be out of a product meant you used to have it but you don't have it right now anymore. In the European Alienware they never had any of those things from the beginning. And I got the confirmation from AW CS about this too :D.

dont worry impressive your wait wont be quite as long as ours would have been
you only have 1 month to wait, we would have been over 2 months!!!

I hope yours arrives in perfect condition, and you have years of great service from a machine that frankly looks the nuts ! :)

Yea, 2 months is insane for a laptop. I really hope to get mine in good condition, they have to sort that overheating problem somehow.

By the way, BOFG1971 has your Clevo arrived :)?

It would be usefull to perhaps get some snaps of size comparisons compared to the Acer if you can. It's hard to gauge size from just a ruler and imagination hehe

I have a full version of xp, so I ordered without an o/s
I dont think vista is ready yet.
dont get me wrong, vista looks great, but there are too many performance issues, and pointless components, that should be opt-in not opt-out at install

I really like aero, and the widget bar is useful

Networking issues (shared drives) and various other problems including worse performance in games, is whats keeping me away at the moment.

Nope no one has. We're all sitting in Phase 4 at the moment, and AW rep said they should get the parts in about a few weeks, so early April they will start building/shipping the systems.

French as well as UK forums indicate that some customers might be delivered of their M15X by these days , means that AW beguins its european deliveries .

could the lucky guys inform the other when they will get their "baby" with the initial date of order and estimation about the delivery time from AW to them ?

    Thanks a lot

theres been a few hiccups at AW
the cpu overheating held everything up for almost a week and then theres the chassis delivery. if you are waiting for the 2.8 that is what could be the delay.

fingers crossed you get your system next week.
