i am a big nvidia fan, but the current GTX260M being offered on the MX17 is below par in my book. any news of a higher end nvidia card being offered soon for the MX17?

also, im open to persuasion on the ATI 5870, is it really all that?

my main game i play is City of Heroes/Villains.

I've been a hardcore NVidia/Intel fan for years, and while I still wouldn't go within 50 feet of an AMD proc, I've been quite impressed with the 4870CF. It's blazing fast and I've had no issues whatsoever. Linux drivers have been well enough so far, and the HDMI out w/ audio works fantastic.

While I'm not going to switch to ATI Loyalty anytime soon, I'm pretty neutral at this point.

According to Clevo new Nvidia mobile GPU are planned for next summer. But I wouldn't bet on something too spectacular given the Fermi consumption / heat issue.
