It sounds like the boot summary was disabled in the BIOS at some point. But did you recently put a second HDD in your M17X? Are you not running it in RAID? I have the same problem and everytime I start up it goes into windows and doesn't load but I get a real quick blue screen, then it restarts, and I have to select "Start Windows Normally." I don't have the issue if I restart, but only upon start up from a shutdown. I'm living with it for the moment, but if you look at the end of this thread you might see a problem similiar to yours. We still havn't figured out a solution for it yet. What ever my problem is, it's related to the addition of a 2nd HDD. Reformatting, hasn't worked, drivers are up to date ect. Still pondering other approaches, but as of yet I have no ideas on how to correct the error. Sorry
