Try the Cyborg R.A.T.s or mod a Razer Deathadder/Mamba with a RGB led instead of the blue one so you'll get the AlienFX colors (this is what i did, pictures soon with the whole system in the m17x section).

I used a RAT 9 for a while, but didn't like it a whole lot. Looks-wise it would certainly fit though. :p

I'm using a Performance MX at the moment, and it's what I'll be using with my M14x.

How would you do that o.o? Is it supposed to work along with the AlienFX command center? Any programs to install or did you actually have to switch out/play with the internal components?

P.S. I would go for the Razer Mamba as well just because it's wireless. When dealing with laptops, I hate wired mouses -.- Just plug it into one of the left ports and you're good to go :D And it glows all the time

The only reason I didn't get the AW TactX Mouse (or w/e it's called) is because it's wired and it's a little too small for my tastes.

No it's not supposed to work with it :p i never said that!
the Deathadder/Mamba have a blue LED with pulse effect (with the help of the board), replacing it with a RGB LED,the last one pulses with a different color (red green blue and combinations of them which result in IE: violet, turquoise etc.) at the same frequency as the stock blue LED.
It's pretty simple, i never keep my stuff stock ;)

If you're going with a wired mouse, I suggest the Logitech G9x. Customizable colors, adjustable weights/grip, comfortable, and has many buttons to customize.

Currently got a TactX mouse and keyboard with the PC, and I've had a tip off that I'm getting a Razer Orochi to go with my m11x for my birthday!

I'd be interested in knowing how to do that if you've got any videos or pieces of advice. Any idea if it would work with the Orochi?

I have a orochi but didn't paid too much attention to it but I believe the LED doesn't pulse, so a mod on it would require more than just a simple LED swap and giving it a blur effect so the colors will mix into a uniform single one.
I'll have pictures of my setup posted soon enough as promised and probably would make a short guide on how to do it on the Deathadder ;) as I don't think I'll get bored enough to do it on the orochi :p

+1 for the Kova[+] that this was made for alienware! Just look at the rear lights! Perfect match for the front speakers grills of the Alienwares. And 7 customisable colors, all of which are on the Alienware Command Centre spectrum.

Logitech G9X matches well and is the best performing gaming mouse I've ever had. But if you really want a mouse that goes with the Alienware brand and don't mind a slightly smaller size, the Alienware TactX is the way to go. It is built off of the G9X model without the adjustable weights. It is also fully customizeable by AlienFX so you can change the LED colors on your mouse using the AlienFX UI, which I thought was pretty cool. I got mine on Ebay for about $35. But I use the Logitech G9X as my primary because it has a heavier, larger feel.

I tried a RAT 7 for about 6 hours. Took it back to Best Buy. Every review you read is true. If you lift the mouse to reposition on the mouse pad their is a 2-3 second delay for it to start tracking again. I thought I needed to replace my 6 year old Logitech g9 (still works). Well after trying the new g700 I am glad to say i am still using my g9 and very happy. I will only replace it with a g9x...

I am using MS Sidewinder X8, its maybe not so nice, but I think it fits Stealth Black quite well. And its still quite good gaming mouse, although its wireless.

Same with the RAT9. It took ages to respond when coming out of standby mode too.

It's small, relatively light, but incredibly well built. Been using it heavily for a couple of months and it's still going strong.

^ same here. The R.A.T. 7 is the best mouse I have used. I can feel absolutely no delay even after I lift it for a few seconds. This is the first time I've read something like that about the tracking.... weird.

Im on the hunt for a new mouse, so far Ive owned, used, destroyed, or borrowed out the following. Diamondback, Copperhead, Lachesis, Deathadder, Abyssus, Mamba, Orochi, g5, g7, and g9. The cords are becoming a nuisance for me and It looks like my only choices for wireless are g700 ( looks too hard to hold for claw grip like me ), momba ( did not last long enough for me ), or R.A.T 9 which I have never used but it uses a fail philips twin eye that has horrendous tracking, a z-axis issue, and the sleep problems. :[

Every review you read is NOT true. I have never had any such problem with my RAT 7. I have more tracking problems with my Tactx mouse not wanting to track on the alienware oem alienware mousepad once the pad started to wear.
