So I always knew we tended to get a decent discount through Dell if you purchased a laptop through their Military Exchange/EPP site that you can access through the aafes website. Years ago I managed 60% off an XPS2 notebook but I'd never seen any good prices again till now. I jumped online to buy one and speced it out as follows...

    Intel Core i7 720QM 1.6GHz (2.8 GHz Turbo Mode, 6MB Cache), 15.6" WideFHD 1920x1080 (1080p) WLED LCD, 4GB DDR3 @ 1333MHz RAM, nVidia GeForce GTX 260M 1GB Video Card, 500GB 7200 RPM Hard Drive, 8x DVD-RW DL Burner, Intel WiFi Link 5300 802.11AGN, Windows 7 Home Prem x64 etc etc

Anyway with the discounts my total was $1513 (no tax, free shipping). I went to check out on the aafes website and noted the coupon code section. I decided to do a quick google search and came across gold...10% up to $100 off coupon. Alas I just got the above laptop for $1413 total :)

So, if you are military and need a new gaming machine, you might wanna grab one now.

Oh and I'm not new but my old account seems to have disappeared (or I used something retarded for a nickname and forgot it)

Holy crap! I spent over 3K on my m15x through AAFES!! AAFES is screwing me with financing, I'm about to go to the BBB on them because of the financing issues. Extremely rude on the phone dealing with the star card rep, and the local store manager said there was nothing he could do to help me out...

Sorry for your bad experience. STAR card is a wash, and one of the quick ways for them to hem u up for not paying bills. soon as you miss a payment, they send a letter to your CO. BTW, what was your spec to hit the 3k mark?

i kind of just cut and paste from the my alienware info file. also within the first 2 months of having it, my case cracked at the left side hinge. i'm hoping they fix it or replace it. i've never been late on a star payment, they have just pissed me off not honoring their own promotions.
