When you downloaded the drivers, did you also download the modified INF file as well?

If the setup didn't work even after you've done that, try installing the driver in safe mode.

No. You should uninstall your current graphics driver, restart, and then install the newer driver.

You need the OSD utility installed before the FN+F7 function can work.

You should not be able to see both cards in your Device Manager at the same time. Once you have the driver for one card installed and the OSD Utility, you should be able to switch over to the other card. Once you switch over, THEN you install the drivers for the second card.

The reason the NVIDIA drivers weren't being installed was probably because you were on the Integrated Graphics card when you were trying to install it.

    So--

#1. Install the drivers for the Intel Integrated Graphics card first.
    #2. Install the OSD Utility.
    #3. Restart.
#4. Switch over to your dedicated graphics card with FN+F7.
    #5. Install the NVIDIA drivers.
    #6. Restart.

Don't be so hasty! You won't have to install the old drivers first before you install the newer ones. Please follow the steps above.
